Delray Beach Dog Trainer Dog with BabyHaving a baby is very exciting, but it is also a huge change in your life. Even during pregnancy your dog may detect your hormonal changes which can affect his or her behavior before the baby (or babies…!) arrive.  Don’t wait until the last minute to get your dog used to all the sights, sounds and odors that come with babies, as well as the schedule changes.  I can help get you through this wonderful, and challenging, time more seamlessly with your dog.  Once you have a baby and your dog is not behaving appropriately or as hoped, the job will be much more difficult.  Consider your dog as a family member, and just as you would prepare a human sibling for a new baby’s arrival, so should you your dog – but in a language and way your dog can understand.  If you have a puppy, and having children is a few years down the raod, do NOT wait to start acclimating your puppy to children in the right ways.  Mature dogs who haven’t been acclimated to babies and children as puppies can have a very difficult time.  Start NOW!  You never know how your life is going to change, and you want to make sure your dog remains a cherished part of your family down the road.
